The women are
gathering. Whether you
are a current or aspiring leader of nature-based rites of passage for
girls, an elder or elder-in-training, a mother, or an auntie you are
invited to gather with other women who want to create meaningful
initiatory experiences for adolescent girls. Bring your questions,
ideas, and inspiration as the purpose of this
gathering is to share our collected wisdom, trade curriculum ideas, and
build strong regional and national networks of support for doing this
important work.
In the embrace of the
Mother we will dream, brainstorm, share our experience, sing, drum,
pray, and create and empower our vision for raising girls connected
with nature and their authentic selves. Her Feet on the Earth founder
and director, Lorene Wapotich, will share
her research and the model she developed for using all-female,
long-term, nature-based mentoring coupled with community-supported
wilderness rites of passage to support healthy development in girls.
Takes
place Saturday noon - Tuesday noon in

Suggested
donation:
$200-$500
Note: The suggested donation for
this gathering is set to just cover expenses to facilitate as many
women as possible being able to attend. Your
willingness to pay the highest amount you can afford allows women from
a wide range of economic circumstances to participate. We will ask
everyone to help with meal prep and clean-up, as well as car pooling
and airport shuttles when possible.
